The Birthday Surprise

Twenty years ago today, my Mom was late coming home from work.

You never thought you would make it.

When the wind blows, I no longer cower but stand still.

A new year is on its way, approaching as chilly, fresh air being breathed in for the first time.

Sometimes our greatest disappointments in this life are momentous blessings, remaining undetected by imperfect vision.

As humans, we tend to associate certain people, places, and things with either good, bad, or insignificant memories and experiences.

As wind gusts swirl around tree branches, remaining leaves hold tight to their anchor, their home base.

Growing up, I could have been the poster child for being that kid at school you only hung out with when your best friend was out sick for the day.

I am so glad you are here! I have been pondering about blogging for quite a few years now.
